Well, I guess we don't need to worry about the primer igniting now.

Can you put a new one in?

Well! Gotta say that I am a fan of the "Slimjim method" of removing a stuck cartridge! Now we have to figure out how to do it on a barrel without a threaded muzzle ...

By the way, can you tell how the chamber and bore look?

I am just super glad you got it out without destroying the barrel in an explosive manner!

Granted, we don't know the condition of the barrel but at least it is in one piece without any splits.

Good job!

Well done getting it out! Thats pretty amazing all things considered. You need to get frame made with that cartridge on it.

That cartridge got what it deserved. It felt good to take the hacksaw to it and throw it in the bottom of the trash bin!

I actually come up with a method using frame clamps. They have nice perpendicular flat ends and can span long distances.

A friend has offered to bore scope it for me. Not sure I want to know.

And what have we learned?

What you don't put in somewhere somehow, doesn't cause troubles to get it back out again!

A quick look with the naked eye showed a clear bore and chamber. It will likely be several weeks before I can get to a friend to have him bore scoped. Next on the agenda is a good scrubbing of the interior surfaces then reassembly with a new handguard, self reward for my success. Hmmm, it would have been a new barrel and handguard if I failed.
