There will be nothing sizzling in Round three as I try to freeze the round out. I the only good news about there being a KABOOM is my wife would get the new refrigerator she wants.

Maybe Round 4 would be more fun. I was thinking of building a blast shield and getting behind it while I drilled the primer out. Just seems a bit on the "Wild West" side.

I'd go the candle route next... set it up so you can adjust the candle height from a distance, cook that primer for a while.

Barrels in the Freezer for a "dry" run. Will knock the bullet back into the case while seeing if freezing helps loosen it up. Then fill the barrel with water and cap it off. Instead of pop-corn, you need sleeping pills for Round 3. Will post some pictures of how I cap the barrel in a bit.

Forgot to discuss it with SWMBO and was confronted in the workshop this morning about the barrel in the frig. Now she is on-board.

Here is the set-up for plugging the barrel. A .45-70 slug fits perfectly into the expansion chamber. though the lead base would likely seal, I'm going to use one of my wads as a gasket. In doing this, I found out that my muzzle brake is for a .30-cal when I thought I ordered a .223.
