Over reaction?

I wonder if the NRA has a fighting fund and will get involved?

If the teacher had not reacted to the shirt there would have been no interuption in the educational process. The teacher should be the one charged with disruption of the educational process. The teacher and the school should be tried on criminal civil rights violations. Then the family can file lawsuits for the actions taken by the school including false arrest.

Good grief, I agree with all the above. If that would have been my kid arrested and thrown in jail for the shirt, I'd be joining him!!

Lucky that I live in my School District of Forest Lake.
They still say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning, still mention God in their Christmas concerts, and Firearms Safety Classes are still taught in the High School.
When I go into my Wife Judy's school, I expect to spend much time talking to her Principle about guns and shooting.
On the other hand, I live in the most Republican district in the State where Michelle Bachmann is my Representative.
I would not tolerate living in a pinko district like the one mentioned.

What a mess! The kid was only wearing a Tee shirt. Maybe it was a bit provocative but it certainly isn't offensive, profane, racist or whatever.
Kind of takes me back to when I was about that age and I wore a swastika tee shirt to a mufti day at the Catholic college I was attending as the "ultimate piss take" ........got suspended for that little indiscretion, as did my best mate who wore his "dope the pope" tee. Actually I intercepted the letter home to my parents and they didn't know about it for years until I finally fessed up in my 20's.
Let it be said that we all do not so bright things that in hind sight weren't that smart.
Its the over reaction of the school and authorities that are out of line. Again another brain fart by a Law Enforcement Agency.

As Vince describe them, "these morons with tiny feeble minds".
The real issue is that Vince's comment applies to the vast majority of U S citizens, a bunch of lazy, uninformed, PC (politically correct) morons, media lead, politician believing, well I could go on and on.
Let me just say at this point that I have no pride in the general public of the USA, now there are a good many exceptions, most notably US citizens that are contributors to Hunting Nut, and those who would like to be but have not found it yet.
The rest are a pure waste of air. And, I don't really consider it their fault, they are just ignorant enough to believe what their being told, and too lazy to look for the truth. After all Obama is the Prez he wouldn't lie to us......
But, let's just say that the USA is going to get exactly what it deserves.

Couldn't disagree with you more Lester.
The vast majority of the US Public attend Church, Volunteer, and go about their business in a honorable manner.
The vast majority believe in God and try to live their lives that way.
Granted, the majority voted for our current President, but it was done without gunfire, intimidation, or coercion. The Constitution once again did it's job well.
I don't have to agree with the results, but I am able to speak freely about my disagreements with this Administration.
Just look at the job that our Volunteer Armed Forces does around the world. Winning the War on Terror, and keeping the bad guys on the run.
Lester, go back in history, and you will see that there were much worse times that we are having now.
My feeling also is that the Citizens of the United State WILL get what they deserve, which is, in the long run, prosperity, happiness, peace, and God's Grace.
