Apparently Peta will be acquiring drones to spy on hunters, Peta Drones

I'm all for the North Korean defense saying "It was in My Airspace" using the new Remington drone loads.

Maybe I can make one using a 1/2" ball bearing and a lead shuttle-cock slug. I have a load for 1 1/4 oz load at 1350 fps.... Hmmmm

Shouldn't be too hard to "set-up" PETA for an anti-aircraft fire mission. One guy to act as a "target" for the drone and a well hidden shooter to spread the drone over an acre or so of bush.

I like this idea. Another way is to have a couple of groups of people in the bush...they can only "target" one at a time, but more than one group can can target the drone. Very Happy

What is that? #6 or #8 shot? I'd rather use #5 turkey magnum loads. I have a very fine 12 ga load for drone elimination. 2 3/4 Max load 1 5/8 oz #5 copper plated. Laughing

I just hope they don't decide to require a hunting tag for peta drones. Mad

I'm thinking that for just a little more challenge, one could use something like an M1 Garand with 168 gr. Hornady SSTs or perhaps an AR-15 with a 60 round mag loaded with 77 gr. BTHP Noslers. I really think I could hit one given enough shots and it would be great sport.

Don't look on this as a bad thing but rather as an opportunity to tune up one's marksmanship.

You have to hit about eight inches in front of the propeller, the antenna array, or the camera pod. It is not fair to hit it midsection to take out the fuel tank, or to take off the wing or control surfaces.

I'm pretty sure that a 1/2" steel ball bearing would damage the engine enough to bring it down. Then you could take the camera to use for watching that neighbor down the street.......

Once you commandeer the drone, convert it with Punkin's suggestion.
