Catching up

Haven't been active for a while, dealing with a little incident I had at work.

Last Wednesday I got into a Fleeing driver chase at 0200hrs. I pulled out as the driver was an absolute loon after 20 seconds and 10 seconds later saw the car plough into a wall killing the driver and injuring 2 others. We don't call them pursuits here, they're fleeing drivers!
Im OK as I didn't do anything wrong but there are 3 enquirys underway.
A 40 second chase turned into a 1 3/4 hour video interview with detectives, Ive been cleared by the psychologist and went back to work on Monday only to have another chase....this one I gave up early and let them run.
Only the Coroners hearing and IPCA (Independant Police Conduct Authority) interviews to go then Im clear.
Bugger this, I'm on 6 weeks leave starting Sunday and I'm going hunting twice during this time. Going to the beach Sunday evening for a couple of days. Both Natalie and I need to get away.

you take care of yourself mate. Wife says"we can put up a spare bed down here" if you need to get away from it all and have a look around this end of the country.

Go and enjoy your holiday mate.
The world will still revolve without you for the next couple of weeks and the stupid will still off themselves in stunningly inventive ways.
Focus on the important things like your wife and family and have a bit of fun.

Be well mate...and don't let the actions of a couple of braindead hoons get to ya mate. Fate usually takes care of them.

Good to hear that Nat and you will be getting out and away from the big smoke for a wee while mate. There are plenty of critters out there for you to "meet with" mate. Don't forget to take your fishing gear too mate.
