Sheriff's letter to Biden you must read.
Thank You Sheriff!!
Unknown to many, the sheriff is the highest governmental authority in his county. A sheriff is even above the governor of his state, and above federal officials in his county. This was established at the beginning of the countries inception and was upheld by the US Supreme Court in the 1997 in the case of Printz v. United States.
In wake of The White House's announcement to use up to 19 Executive Orders to get gun control, Americans are attending gun shows at record numbers as well as buying a record amount of firearms.
Sheriff Mueller has joined the ranks of several Sheriff's in the country putting their foot down. Sheriff Denny Peyman of Jackson County, Kentucky made news after a town hall meeting Saturday where he informed residents that federal gun grabbing will not be upheld in his county.
A Texas lawmaker has taken it a step further attempting to introduce legislation that would have federal officials arrested if they attempt to enforce new gun laws in the state.

Thanks, Suz! Straight to the point.

I think that you will see more of this Suz.
Folks are fed up and won't take much more.
I heard lots of that talk in public at Gander Mountain today.
Gun owners are ready to stand up and say "From my cold dead finger" while meaning ever word.
Craps going to hit the fan pretty hard and pretty fast if this stuff continues from King Obama.

I try to be cautious about what I think will happen if the Big uh-O goes crazy about gun control because I realize that almost all of the people I asociate with are pro-gun and I may not have an accurate view of what the general population of the US thinks. (After all, I never thought he'd be reelected!) That said, I think Eric is right, gun owners have been pushed about as far as they can stand. I don't think there is going to be an immediate armed uprising, more like a simple refusal to comply.

Civil disobedience is better than a civil war. I just wonder what comes next. The president has nearly backed himself into a corner and I doubt he is man enough to say, "I was wrong."
He is more likely to come out with, "you folks have to understand that this is for our children." or some such nonsense that will appeal to the anti-gunners and demonize us as "the bad guys". I have been working out detail of how to keep an armed force from getting in too fast to respond to and I have a few things worked out. It won't be pretty but it should keep the doors in place even with a "shotgun" entry. The windows are problematic but I am working on it.
I am trying to keep a cool head but still prepare for the worst.

When you think about it, it seems the sheriff of your county is the guy to talk to or write to. He's most likely pro-gun, he has lots of clout and is there to protect your interest. If things go haywire at least this guy won't prosecute.

When all this came out about the sheriffs and their control within the counties, it got me to thinking about a cousin of mine. He was elected Sheriff in upstate New York, Essex Co., a number of years ago and as we haven't spoken in quite a while I thought I'd look on the internet and see if he was still Sheriff there. He isn't. What I did find our to my sorrow was that he had died 2 years ago after a fight with cancer and we never even knew. Not what you expect to find and not the way you expect to find it.

What a kick in the butt BigBlue.
Sorry to hear this.
Don't blame yourself for not seeing him though.
I have close relation that I haven't talked to in years.
It just happens.
