As a matter of fact...I cultivate wild roses. Have always liked roses and decided this time to work with what I have instead of buying domestic roses.

And NO!! I don't like potpouri. It messes up my sinuses...And POT pouri is definately NOT on my list...Yours?

Wild roses...that sounds interesting Bushy. I have a couple of "old time" roses in my garden...they even have perfume, which most seem to lack these days. At Mum's place there is a climbing rose that she planted in 1958 and it is still going strong...it was a cutting off one that her grandmother had growing, so it's root-stock is strong.

Putting Mum's house on the market next week...guess I will have to get some cuttings from the bush before the house is sold.

I prune roses with the chainsaw!!!!! they grow back nicely.

I hate roses. And lilac's. Worse than a concrete post 6 feet under when yer trying to rid yer place of them. I chainsaw then down to nothing, undermine a bit, black plastic over the top, backfill and in a few weeks nothings there. Works on stumps too.

Worse then that slimjim. One of my wild rose bushes has a dove's nest in it. Thinking maybe I could am"bush" for dinner one day.

Awwww.....grab the nest, add some of yer roses, holly leaves and shelac the whole thing, place it in a shadow box on top of your favorite doilie in your reloading room and call it a day with a cup of Earl Grey after sending a pic of it to Martha Stewart...you are quite the crafts person there "Rosie."
