My boots don't have laces. They come in mens and womens styles and sizes. They also have "riding heels" that are undercut so they grip the sturups. Never used spurs on a horse - most that I have riden were "toe trained".
It would be hard to find my size in a "lady's style" but I suppose I could find them if I ever wanted to or tried to - I like my "mens style" just fine. They aren't much good for walking but they are good for dancing and riding.
When I was much younger I had a pair of lace up hunting boots and they were good enough for that but they were no good for riding horses.
Those in the pictures look like they would be good for riding but with that heel I don't think yo could walk very far.

walk!!!! who walks when there is a horse you can ride!!!
back when I was younger I spent a heck of alot of time on a horse as our farm was large and horses were a great way to get around. the motorbike phase was in there too but the good horse is just magic especially on a wet misty day riding around in the manuka scrub country with the 30/30 across the knees just incase a porker should be out getting a feed in the soft earth. those were the days.

Stovey, you seem to have great knowledge about these small things, did you ever make a study on foothwear or do you have a degree in engineer so that you want to start on a good base always? After all feeth are men's (and women's) base when he (or she) is not sitting, lieing or hanging. So feeth are very important. I heard the expression "he died with his boots on", but they never say "he died with his trousers on" alltough they can also hurt very much when they are too small, so trousers should also be very important. Maybe Stovey also wants to share his knowledge about his tutu? Smile

Aloys, you don't want to play Trivial Pursuit with stovey.

Also, boots aren't the only trendy unisex fashion statements stovey makes. Here is another example but he was wearing boring combat boots this day.

Well Mac,
How will the tacti kilt go with your boots?
Hope your other "hardwear" is up to presentation standard. Shocked

From something so simple, so much mirth, you guys are killing me. Very Happy

I spent two weeks on a wilderness trek on summer. Boy, commando is the way to go!

But it is not wool so no matter what ya want t call it, it is still a man skirt. A fanny pack is not a sporan either. Whatever, a wee bit of advice from someone who knows fromexperience. Don,t walk through the flowers wearing a kilt specially if you are regimental (commando). Bees and wasps don't like being caught under a kilt. There is nothing funny about a proud man running around a field with his kilt up around his elbows while he is swatting at his jewels trying to kill an irate insect. I SAID NOTHING FUNNY
