I agree with what he said.
I hope the greenies can understand the idea..
not likely, because the greenies are irrational anyway.. but hope nevertheless.

Spot on! It's amazing how people can be blind to the true.

Good article! I agree that the "antis" will likely never read it but we can take some of that into any discussion we have with them.

Everyone knows hunting is the most unethical means of take. It's sooooo much more humane to pen raise cattle for veal or grow commercial hot house chickens. (sarc)
People today don't get out enough. They get all they NEED to know force fed to them by The Tube- which is usually spun-up liberal-hype agenda based mush.
But try telling them that. Those that never see the other side of their own front door, had a sun burn, bug bite or wet feet.
You can't argue with a liberal...why?
BECAUSE THEY WON'T LET YOU!

A good if long read, but Im guessing nothing new to most of the hunters on here. the do gooders and tree huggers have forgotten the laws of the jungle, survival of the fittest etc so they will take it as more propagander and wont bother the see the forest for the trees(pun intended).

I'd better watch my Ps and Qs, I'm sorry bout that. Its just a colloquialism here in NZ used all the time to describe either a situation or person who likes to wind people up. Its used all the time even on National Radio Stations.
The word is regarded as being part of NZ language and not profane. I apologise if I do offend anyone but PLEEESE don't take my stump. It's swamp Kauri and over 40,000 years old!

I just watched a movie with William Defoe called The Hunter, done in Tazmania (maybe you've seen it?) it has little girl of about 7-9yrs and she tells Mr. Defoe that the generator is "f"ed up (she using the official word) and being an American he says "excuse me?" Ya see we are sensitive to hearing children using bad words, even in international waters. Wouldn't want them to grow up thinking it was good and proper to expel profane in the face of ones elders (or those we respect). If you would say such words and become accustomed to using them, the casual slip of the tongue might become habit and you wouldn't even notice saying them, am I right? Yes I am, I do it all the time...not around children!
I'm not the riot police (you are) so please use another form of spelling or some of those @#$%@# things to get the message across. From now on I'm placing a video camera in the trees above your stump and I've aimed a 1000 year old egg and some bear poo to drop on your spot the moment you misbehave. No one will sit near you and you'll have to remove the stump yourself, or sit happily in it. You're not the only one either, so tell your friends.
Pooie

Hi ya Suz...its surprising what you hear on the radio and idiot box down this end of the world. The "F Bomb" has always been an unacceptable word to use in everyday language...unless it is just amongst the guys and they are all mates.
However, a couple of years ago a Judge made the comment in Court that it is only a word and in everyday use and as such should not be considered obscene...bad decision. These days it is a common addition to movies etc after 9pm at night. Kids are the worst for using it freely, and there is nothing anybody can do about it.
There are a few words over here like that...words that are acceptable as part of everyday language, or have different meanings or used in a different context to other parts of the world. One word that comes to mind is bastard...it has so many different meanings over here...depending on how it is used. It can be a word that make people happy, laugh or want to knock ya head off...depending on the context in which it is used.
Sh1t is another word like that...has so many different meanings...some are good, others funny and yet others nasty. A sh1t-stirrer is someone who takes the mickey out of others...teases them in a fun way.
However...you are totally correct...this is a family orientated forum, so we must be very mindful of what language we use...I don't want my butt whipped with a big nasty switch, and I sure don't want a bucket load of bear nuggets suspended above me head...it might spill into me beer, or heaven forbid, make me drop my beer.
Cheers, Vince
