Confused Just east of molalla in the cascades jungle,deer was on grass and browse,good green year,lots of berry vines,lots of native/wild fruit trees-just gamey.And BTW-I got a lowscoring B&C mulie over at millican back in 96' that was the best eating deer ever,I think he had been eating near the town of alfalpha,and coming out to the desert to hide in the daytime,and eat bitterbrush.Fat like a feedlot cow,and had about an inch or more tallow down full length of his back.I guess good tasting deer are just where you find them-not neccessarily by breed. Confused

great pictures, moose2! Yep, a bit oddly shaped. I assume the snout helps them eat water plants?
