Hey, stovey, you have a great Christmas. Traffic was so thick on the 405 last Friday morning before dawn, it looked like a ribbon of lava flowing up and down the mountains but not as fast. Stay safe!

Yup...I remember 405...70 mph bumper to bumper or 0 mph bumper to bumper depending on the time of day (or night).
How'd ya come out with the "paper weight"??
Hey!! I just remembered. Speaking of "paper weights" I have one too. A RG .22 SA. You will note the grip frame is out of wack (cheap pot aluminum). For size comparison .30-06 next to it.

Mornin' boss!
Not gonna touch it. Want nothing to do with the POS. It's going back with a big note "UNSAFE DO NOT USE".
I really feel bad for him but after inspecting it and reading about it I want no fingerprints of mine on it. That thing is a liability.
Gonna try and swing him towards an LCP .380...oh yeh.

LCP .380? The word "Bersa Thunder" comes to mind. An inexpensive ($300 +/- $50) dependible shooter.

I agree- handsdown best .380 around. That's a great suggestion and I'm glad you thought of it and they totally slipped my mind. LCP's are coming down and on sale here for about that (sub 400$). Rarely see Bersa's here in gun cases in stores for some reason. I know where to get them though.

Yup...Excellent semi-auto. My wife carries one (CCW what you can't have in the USSR of C) and loves it. I loaded some 90 grain Hornady XTPs for her.

Have a look at FN's 1910 and 1920, they come in .380 ACP too (but original in .320). Mighty fine shooters, cheaper than dirt and unbreakable...
By the way Bushy, I can join the club with my .22 revolver made in Western Germany, a Gerstenberger und Eberwein of Gussenstadt.

Mine's a RECK Single Action .22. They left the "W" out of the name.

My LCP was $300 and I've seen them a little less than that since i bought mine. About $440 with the Crimson Trace laser already mounted, which I'd recommend.

And again I can join the club, I also have something from that origine, but mine does have a "W" in it's name, it's a RECK-WILDCAT cal .22 LR revolving carabine. I also have a pistolgrip for that one, but with such aiming device and such a long barrel, it's only something to have in the collection, it's not a user.
And a lot of good stuff came and comes from Germany, but not everything is that good. Look at Erma: lots of guns with a nice look but very poor quality. But when you start talking about MG's and MP's or their Lügers or Mausers...

Another one for Bushy's "WRECK" club is my Rohm gmbh sontheim brenz .22 short DA Revolver. Seriously, I would be better off throwing the gun at the target!!
