There definitely isn't enough shooting going on when the Top 30 is populated with only Jokes & Humor. What's it too hot in the Northern Hemisphere and too cold in the Southern Hemisphere for us to be out shooting!?!?

Slim, the weather may be an influence! However I'm trying to arrange some range time for this coming weekend.

I have my daughter's wedding this weekend....most of our time for a while has been taken up with the necessary arrangements...and spending.

After the weekend; watch out critters....I'll be on the rampage.

A good friend's daughter is getting married next weekend. He tells me he can't wait to get his life back. Said his successful escape maneuver has been making trips to the town's hazardous disposal site just to get out of the house. He has been doing just a can of paint at a time and has run out. Northeast shooters has a "darts game" starting up. Sound like fun?

The idea is to start with 1 and shoot numbers in sequence through 20, then the bullseye. You have to stop with the first miss.

Double and triple rings on the dartboard don't matter, just shoot each numbered section.

Hits on the line between numbers count as OK hits.

Shoot with anything you like at 50 yards. Obviously a scope or spotting scope will be needed to see the numbers.

Photo and post results. Anyone interested?

I'm waitin for a gun stock I ordered to come in from Bob's gun parts. Anybody ever deal with them? It's been about a month and I get no reply from e-mail either. Wondering if they're even in business. I sent in my order via regular mail with my credit card number, very trusting of me.....They're probably in Mexico by now, buying up some tequila and limes. Weather has been beautiful here, but yard work has dominated my time as Jon is off salmon fishing and who knows what else. I've spent some time sewing the tops of his socks shut and I put a few chips in his razor, just to make sure he's happy when he gets back. The peaches are ripening. We had a great time picking peaches one time. We went to the store and bought some cream and sugar, brought a couple bowls and spoons and ate hot ripe peaches off the tree with cream and sugar. Came home and had a rotten peach fight, squirted each other off in the back yard and napped in our wet clothes on the lounge chair outside. Woke up with little tiny ants all over us, they love sugar and we weren't very devoid of sugar. Got the water hose and sprayed off again, hopping around like rabbits, neighbors thought we were stoned or something. Lots of screaming and laughing going on. Went into the house and got naked in the kitchen, heard some voices and found that my sister and her kids were in the living room. The kids came running into the kitchen to say HI!!! My sis right behind them. Never saw so many people embarrassed at once in my life. It was so funny what my sister did, she grabbed the little girl and shoved her into my arms and put the little boy in Jon's arms and we just walked out into the living room to find my parents sitting on the couch. Joke was on us, big time.

I've been sharpening my .22 skills by solving the problem of multiple small holes all over my lawn by testing a theory as to whether a .22 LR can penitrate the armor of an armadillo.

Does that count?

I just took my nephew from Germany to the range and taught him how to shoot. It took a while to figure out he is left eye dominant. It was a good thing I took my wife's left hand Ruger M77 7mm mag. It was a lot easier to teach him to shoot with a left hand gun then it was to teach my wife to shoot left handed with a right hand gun. He was so proud when he finally got to shoot mama's 7mm mag. We burned off a few other various rounds also.

That counts and more than what most of us can do. I can only shoot my bow in the back yard. Hey, don't armadilos have their hearts in a different location than one would think? That makes yours a real challenge.

I wanna do the dart-board shoot!! When do we start? Vince is at a wedding this weekend, that should even up the odds a bit. Maybe we should just have a deadline or some sort of stop date. Maybe a prize to decorate the ole avatar?
