I am currently in the market for a digital powder scale. Can someone advise the most accurate and reputable? I have heard some stories about scales that don't perform to advertisement. I want to stay away from the cheap ones because I hear they don't produce accurate results.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Any made by RCBS have done very well for me. I also have a small one sold by Cabelas that works very good as well.

I've been using a PACT for years. Isn't there a thread on this subject somewhere in here?

I have the pact w/infared port and like it. As far as most accurate, google laboratory scales and plan on spending 500 bucks and up.

RCBS, same here! Mine is very accurate. I paid $100 for it. I've measured bullet weights and came back a couple of days later and got the exact same measurements. Accuracy of my loads has been good.

Thanks for the replies. I was actually leaning toward RCBS because of the reviews I have seen on Cabelas, etc.

I use a rather old RCBS Powder Pro. Working fine and still repeatable and accurate...I compare it against my RCBS balance scale (5-0-5)...

I have been using a digital for only about 2 years now and it is an RCBS - cannot spek highly of it enough, it has made my reloading that much more productive and enjoyable.

One more vote for an RCBS 1500 Chargemaster digital. Been using mine for over 2 years now. As with all digitals read the instructions as to the tips for putting them on a solid surface, away from fans or air currents from your heater/ac and temperature extremes and all is great . Faster and more accurate than my 5-0-5 beam scale for sure !!!

I don't know about more accurate than the 5-0-5. But definately much faster.

Another happy RCBS Chargemaster user here. It takes a lot of the drudgery out of measuring accurate rifle loads.
