No sleep, and no booze makes Dimitri ... Something something

So I'm a dad of a one month old, born November 15th.

Funny enough the Obgyn originally said October 28th or something, then revised it to the 13th of November. I said back in March he'll be born on the 15th, and I lucked out. Now if only the lotto worked that way. Very Happy

So I present to you a one month old, Harry Simitas.

Tomorrow is his full month party we are hosting for him. Anna's family is doing it. Something about pomelo leaves and shaving the kids head? And red eggs, which us Orthodox use for Easter.

I know he had jaundice when he was born and looked really yellow, but the head shaving part makes me want to jokingly buy him a baby sized monk robe. Hiding

Sleep? Hold that thought, it takes a few months for him to sort himself out and figure out what what pushes mum and dads buttons.
All I can say is support each other and establish a routine.
Hes worth it.

He sleeps pretty good at night when he is sleeping beside me in bed.

When he wakes me up, I tilt his head up a wee bit, feed him with a bottle and he passes right back out.

Sleeping in the nice crib I bought him? Good luck with that. He cries the moment he sees the railings before you put him down.

I am told in a few months my bed will be mine again though.

HaHaHa snort!, you have no hope snicker snicker........
The wife and I bought a king size bed because a toddler takes up more room than a great dane and kicks more than a bucking bronc.
They also sleep diagonally and leave you and the wife about 6 inches of mattress each.
Parenthood, improvise,adapt,overcome.
It has its moments.

+1 on that Pete. We made the same mistake...it was many months before we got our bed back, and even then it wasn't guaranteed every night. Laughing

Dimitri, did nobody warn you to skip this part and go straigth for a grandson instead of a son? Grandsons don't keep you awake and when they are too noisy, it's time to return home...

and don't worry: little children = little problems... great children means great problems... so enjoy the moment Smile

but to be honnest: when you do things right and have a little help and luck, they'll bring so much joy.
