I'm with you Tiks...I looooove mulberries, oh and blackberries, and rasberries.
Seriously though, as a kid Dad used to take us up into Foxground, in between Gerringong and Berry on the NSW South Coast, and we could get all three berries in the bush there...well the mulberries were in the house yard of the old home he used to live in, along with some rasberries. The blackberries were thick everywhere, and so juicy. We would pick a couple of buckets full of the mulberries and blackberries and Mum would make jam and tarts out of them. The rasberries we chomped on the spot (not enough of them for anything else). Another one we enjoyed were lilly pillies. They would make a nice breakfast type jam...a bit tart, but still nice. Hardest part was getting up into the tree to get the best lilly pilly fruit.

Getting back on topic...growing or picking berries, and making your own jams and tarts saves paying out big bucks for a mass produced product where you are paying taxes when purchasing. They are also a lot healthier and better for you.
