long range coyote
Neighbor called and asked if I could dispatch a coyote that had been chasing deer in his field every other day. He said he had tried calling with distress calls and had got her to within 150 yards, but missed with the shot 2 weeks earlier. This yote was definetly keen to calls. I set up just before sundown with the wind perfect. I tried a long howl followed by a shorter howl. Within 1 minute there she was 450 yards out along the tree line. She came in to about 380 yards and would not come any closer. Sunlight was about gone. I had shot at this distance before and was confident with my shooting. I slowly took aim and let the little 52 grain pill loose. Neighbor took my picture showing the results. Another yote down by .22-250.
