Most of you will remember Ray Stevens songs which included..."The Streak" and "Mississippi Squirrel Revival". This is a new one and really "on point".

The only problem is.... it would be funnier if it weren't so true.

That is a fine story and one with great wisdom. I have always held that it was against the greater good of the public for representatives, at any level of government, to give money from the treasury for charity. I have posed the same argument several times with commissioners at commission meetings. Frankly I have never seen the argument put in better terms than the argument put by Horatio Bruce in this story. I wish I had, had a copy of this story, it would have come in handy over the years.
