1) Ruger 10/22
2) S&W 1500 30-06
3) Marlin 1895 45-70

That covers pretty much all critter small to large 4 legged and even 2 leggers.

Remington 22 LR

03A3 (sporterized and scoped) in 30-06 (Remington)

Remington 700 custom 358 Winchester

Those are my favorite rifles
add to that my favorite hand guns and shotguns and I can kill anything that walks or flies in the American continents.

I'd hate to have to give up any rifle I have....but if I was restricted to only three then they would be:

1. .22 rimfire bunny gun and pretty much any thin skinned game out to 100m

2. My Winchester Model 94 in 30.30 heavier game out to 100m - 150m

3. My Weatherby .243 Win bolt gun will deal with 99% of game in Australia out to at least 200m +

I should include my 12g shotgun in there as it is a very versatile gun, from light shot (#9) right up and including slugs.

Cheers, Vince

All the education we’ve had around here lately on short mags and still no-one has put one on their list !!! wtf That’s disappointing !!! Laughing

I’ll take one along with a Fireball and a Barrett !!! Nananana

Heh- I've used that term to desbribe them straight-stocked units and I get looks back like..."huh?" wtf

Not a fan of Monte Carlo stocked lever actions for some reason. They look too "sporterized'ish" to me.

That ol' girl of yours sure is a looker, Mr. Bush. I'm sure you two have some stories.... Cool

Can't be done with only three. However, my first three would be:

M1 Garand .30-06
FN Mauser in .280 Remington
Remington Model 581 .22 l.r.
All the best...
Gil

Shooting is kinda like golf. You can't play the whole game effectively with just one club. With just a wood, an iron and a putter it becomes a little easier but still isn't much fun.

That would be my exact answer - 10 years ago, when they are allowed here..
