Yep, it happens. They have actually run ski races on Mammoth Mountain on July 4th. I was in Glacier National Park about 12 years ago in June - they got 8 feet at the pass!

Here in the U.S. we have MOUNTAINS, Vince. Snow is not unusual anytime of the year.
Some years ago My brother and I got caught in the Cascades in middle August in a white out while on a horse trip.

Here's some snow for ya Vinnie, they got about 40 feet of it last season and just opened up the highway to it (last month I think). Officially summer starts June 21 (today). Where I am the mornings have been around 60C and the days range from 72C-77C so it isn't getting very hot here (yet) it's still spring-like weather.
Still snowing
what a
hoot

I lived in Yuma AZ. for 4 years (freeeeeeekin hell) it got to 120 once or twice, you don't wanna be there. I was a kid on a mission riding my bike turning purple from the heat, the postman told me to go inside and cool off. Ya know they measure the temperature in the shade not in the sunshine. You ever seen a sunburnt Mexican or Indian? makes the skin very pretty and rosy brown (been fighting skin cancer ever since).

I like working temps, you know between 55 and 80 F. I get real slow when the thermometer hits 85F and I get all stove up below 35F. Here in the beautiful Walla Walla Valley we have all four seasons and summer is warm to hot and the winters are chilly to cold. That's the way it is supposed to be. I can go inside and warm up in the winter and I can cool down in the summer. Gas heat and electric air-conditioning are must-haves in this part of God's green acres.
(personally I think God goes south in the winter and to the islands in the summer. The rest of the year is is just around the block somewhere - I'm sure of that!)
