AGAIN
so we have had a mouse running around in ceiling which has been a tad annoying. last week like good hubby I try to be out comes rickady old ladder and trap goes up in roof.
this morning Im getting ready for Promise Keepers weekend so getting stuff sorted before heading away...thinks to self...best check trap before I go.so rickardy old ladder gets set up in our hallway under manhole,which convieniently is beteen two doorways,greats thinks I. Put ladder across hall with legs in each doorway to brace one side of said rickardy old ladder (must be one of very first alloy ones made) up the ladder I go forgetting its in door way and SMACK goes my head onto top of door frame oowee ooowee good wifey comes to see what fuss is and proceeds to laugh her head off IM CHUCKLING TOO BUT RUBBING SORE HEAD AT SAME TIME

Consider getting a python and putting it up in the roof...never have a possum or rodent problem whilst he’s up there.

got the mouse....and a sore head...we KIWIs dont have pythons in the back garden...the nearest we have are one eyed trouser snakes....they dont chase mice....but do chase other things that are rumoured to chase mice...

I would have though standing back an letting loose with the 12 g would gave hurt less.
At the time.
Would have started a whole new discussion on shot size requirement and whether solids are more effective on mice or house frames.
Then theres the post traumatic wife aftermath reporting, months of amusement for us.

I may need to use my 12 ga. I've been using rat traps and caught 3 so far. Then yesterday I went out and the trap is gone!?!?
