I am always looking for a good deal, like everyone else. Ialways check,Gunbroker. GunsAmerica.THe other week ,I won an Auction
It was a Randall Frame for a .45, I am buiding a .45 shooter.
Now here is the problem, We the seller and I live in Maryland I don't need an FFL transfer as long as we go to the MD State Police and regester the frame in my name, I pay regestration fee. We only live 20 miles apart.
He wanted me to transfer it through a FFL holder and pay $30 shipping and $45 transfer fee to the FFL holder for transfering the gun.If he would have went to the police department with me it would only cost $10 regestration fee. He wanted to make an extra $30 dollars on shipping. He said I was cheap and he was not aloud to go to the police and do it that way.The moral of the story is I got a nonpayment on Gunbroker for this. So
Buyer Beware when dealing with Eagle21244 0n Gunbroker.

There are a lot of sharpies in the auction world, on both sides of the aisle. But, there are many more of the good, honest people by a wide margin.
The fellow set up his auction requirements to satisfy/protect himself. By bidding, acceptance of the requirements is understood, and it is unreasonable to expect a change after the fact.
Saving $45 is a great motivator for me, too, and the shipping does seem a bit extortionate. On the other hand, meeting a total stranger, even at a State Police office may reasonably be seen as inconvenient, risky, and using re$ource$ (time and gasoline) that the seller doesn't wish to. That's his choice.
Too bad the misunderstanding happened, but that's life, some days. Just my $.02
