One of my neighbors has a used Ponsness/Warren Metallic II Semi-Progressive Single Stage Reloader that he wants an arm and a leg for. Not that I'm interested in it at all. Anybody ever use one? I had never seen one before. |
Ponsness-Waren doesn't seem to be around much these days, but in its day, it was one of the PREMIER shotshell loaders. Still is:
I just checked, and the company is still in business. Its products are expensive. $700+ for the more deluxe one, and about $400 for the "economy" model. (The one I wanted before discovering I have absolutely NO talent as a shotgunner.)
You could probably pass the neighbor's on to your children, if it is well-cared for, and it would load a truckload of ammo for you.
They may be the Dillon products of the shotgun world--you see guys paying to within 20%+ of new price for Dillon stuff on EBay.
