Well if the cousins are confused by the aussie version of English, or you are a civie and cant understand what some of us ex mil types are prattling on about, read here for future reference.
Excuse the language, there's NOTHING politically correct in here;

Well that explains a few things. How do you remember all that anyway? Reminds me of my indoctrination to a Naval air station. The guy hauling me around for introductions had a slang name for everything and confused the heck out of me. He enjoyed every squinty look I gave him too. Once or twice I reminded him I was female, it only made him talk faster. They did clean up the wall paper in the office tho. (thank you Lord) Hustler spreads, wall to wall, glad I missed it. Nothin like staring at someones star-fish all day.....eeeewwwwwooooo

Thats why I like you Suz, you've been there, done that and still have a sense of humour.
That and the fact you've lion trained about 75% of the males on this site.
Outstanding.

I'm amazed how many of the terms of endearment contained in that are used in the police here in NZ.

Well worth a good read

The banjo's I've had were in Singapore years ago, late 70's, and they were bread rolls about 15 inches long and about 4 inches in diameter. Then stuffed with what ever you wanted, e.g. bacon and egg, cat, rat or monkey. Took a while to eat one of them suckers. Wouldnt want to drop a full one on ya foot or you would be walking with a limp for a while.
