Yep....criminals have more rights than Joe Average these days. The "bleedin' hearts" are to blame. "That man is innocent until proven guilty...don't you dare violate his human rights"...all well and good for the grub...but what about the victim!!!

I would carry if I was allowed...nothing more sure. I think that the Civil Libertarians forget that the Police aren't there to protect the innocent, but to capture the guilty....but the mongrels aren't guilty until AFTER they have committed their crime and the innocent have suffered at their hands!!! Mad

... the mongrels aren't guilty until the jury convict them, even after committed their crime even if they did it in front of witnesses .....

Then the bleeding hearts will step in and say that it is because of
their unhappy childhood,
being abused when they were growing up,
being influenced by crazy politicians,
see too much rambo movies
bad neighborhood ... etc etc etc Mad

and the latest popular excuse apparently is STILLNOX consumption.

Maybe I ought to get some prescriptions too ...

This thread has pretty much been pointed toward concealed carry for protection against crime. However I carry when out walking because of an additional concern, dangerous animals.

One time I was charged by an aggressive Saint Bernard and the only thing that saved me from attack was the action of my own dog that cut him off and distracted him. At the time I had figured that I didn't "need" to carry a gun.

A rabid raccoon came into my yard a few years ago, despite the 7 dogs out there. They made short work of him and thankfully all had their shots but what if he'd have been standing in the car port when I walked out the kitchen door?

Let’s not forget the copperheads and one rattlesnake that I’ve almost stepped on before seeing.

The point I wanted to make is, don’t get so focused on one threat that you ignore others. I don’t just keep a gun handy because of concerns about crime.

Yup...I open carry on my property. We have bear, cougar, coyote, fox, raccoon, armadillo, opossum (one of God's ugliest critters), skunk (possibly rabid), etc, etc (I own horses). When I go to populated areas I change holsters and conceal carry to defend myself and family from the two legged vermin... wtf

Errr - perhaps that wasn't the best thing to say, as it was US & UK aid to Russia that cost the Finns more than a tenth of their country.
The Germans actually aided Finland against Soviet aggression, whilst the UK declared war on them.
Some parts of WWII are NOT as clear cut as the rest.

Well currently I can't carry since I'm not in the states. State side I don't carry because I teach and having a firearm in the parking lot is reason to call in SWAT, so is a spent .22 that came off the teachers tire. I do carry a can of bear strength pepper spry with black dye in it. Don't care what the school thinks. I hate dogs, ones I don't know, and there are too many in my area for me not to carry them. Not to mention the gang bangers I tick off because of bad grades.
