hunterjoe, Loss of life is not taken lightly, even when the dead are bank robbers or crack-crazed zombie killers.
I totally disagree!!!!!!!!! If I were there and packing, with my concealed carry, the police wouldn't have had to shoot him.
And, no, I wouldn't try to talk him out of it, by trying to reason with his feminine, compassionate side!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Geeze, guys, talk about jumping to conclusions!!!!!!
I did not say hunterjoe's friend was not justified in shooting the BG dead, given the facts as we understand them. Nor was I saying the way to deal with the threat presented by this guy was to 'reason with his feminine, compassionate side'.
The purpose of an investigation is to make sure ALL the facts surrounding this shooting are known and understood. Seems to me that this officer did the right thing, and hopefully the investigation will show this is the case.
So I will reiterate this:
In a civil society where behaviour is ruled by a body of laws, all violent deaths are investigated - and that is how it should be no matter whether the dead person is a bank robber, a crack-crazed zombie killer, someone's hunting or business partner, a stranger or a family member!!!!
Imagine the alternative...
