Well, got my deer tag, but my elk was denied for Colorado. I pretty much figured that going in, needed 6 preference points for the hunt I wanted, I had "0", I can wait another 6 years. I will try and get an over the counter bull tag when they start selling left overs. How did everyone else do?

My buddy finally got his Wyoming moose tag after many, many years of applying. Elk herds should be strong - what corner of the state will you be hunting?

We generally hunt unit 47, I believe. Between Aspen and Glenwood Springs in the White River National Forest.

Sweet - good herd of elk. I am not familiar with that particular GMU, but I have hunted North of there near Yellow Jacket Pass closer to Meeker and Hamilton.

How's the weather in Fairbanks, Mom said it has been warmer there than it has been here. We got about 1-1/2 inches of snow last week.

Wiley..
Have a good time mate!!
Wish we could all go with ya.. but that would make it hard for you to hunt..

All with COLD chamber to the right
and all with HOT chamber to the left..

Very Happy

I haven't been to Fairbanks since early May but it is beautiful here in Fort Yukon, low to mid 70's as a high, sunny and of course 24 hour daylight. I imagine Fairbanks is about the same.

I'm a cheapskate - I'll wait for the leftover tags as ever.
Colorado GMU 751 is where we hunt every year & usually beat the average.
Air fares from the UK are becoming a deciding factor in whether or not I make it this year - up $200 on what I paid to fly to NM a month ago. Shocked

I got a Calf moose tag, and a buck deer tag, good for the whole province. Got my moose draw in for a Bull, and I got my deer draw in for a doe (duh! Razz ).

I may get the Bull moose validation tag, I'm in pool 1 this year, so got a pretty good chance about a 70% chance, and got a 99.9% chance on the doe for the area I want (everyone who applied for that area last year got one, they may do the same again this year). Smile

Dimitri

I have a December cow elk tag for 5A in Arizona. Not my first choice, but better than sitting at home. Oh, and my wife will be along.

Last month I mailed in an app for deer, but don't know yet if I was drawn.

Drew a Ranching for Wildlife cow elk license. Drew a late plains buck deer license(using a land owner voucher to exchange a doe license for a buck) and a buck antelope license. 3 for 3
