Jeez Elvis I thought you would have helped me wind our American friends up, a picture of a ball peen or a baseball bat would have been hilarious, oh the fun we could have had!

Radar a provocateur, no I can't believe it. Very Happy

Don't we have enough to deal with, with Obama and our next president Hillary. Mad

Baseball bat, really do you have those in Oz or are you thinking of a cricket bat (really a sport name after a bug). Well I guess you can blame that on the Brits, but Australian Rules Football, four goalposts and sissy tackling. Laughing

We use a pigskin, I expect Ozians use what, maybe Wombat-skin? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Now rugby is way cool, but if they got to carry clubs it would be even better.

Just funnin guys. Smile

Have a great down under day.

But, seriously if your ever in the Sidney harbor area and meet a gal named Debbie Williams say hey for me I will never forget that weekend back in '68. Laughing

Gridiron.....I'll have to look that one up...I love cooking....but really the gridiron is the field ('merican) football is played on, not a sport. Looks like a barbeeeeque grill, it's got some pork on it, but the beef is always raw and sometimes bloody and bruised.

Tackling isn't the norm for Aussue Rules Lester, although you can be tackled if you hold the ball without trying to pass it off. Ordinarily you get hit with what they call a "hip and shoulder"...damn, it hurts because we don't wear any padding when playing football of any kind.

Carry a club when playing rugby...nah, not needed mate, they hit hard enough...maybe you are thinking of the Irish game Hurling, or maybe Faelic Football...thems is crazy buggers in Eire mate.

Actually, I love watching Rugby and have seen a couple Oz Football matches. Despite the different rules I think Oz Football is great it reminds me of what football once was here, but Cricket no thanks worse than American Baseball, or basketball. For the most part I have lost all interest in American professional sports, too little love of the game and too much money and politics.

There are plenty of sports where contestants carry sticks (potential clubs) and I have to hand it to the players constraint. I am not sure I could control my aggressiveness during passionate game play without braining my opponent with my club.

Anyway, I was really just jabbing back at our cuz Radar a little but then he's a Kiwi so that's my bad, we sure don't want to get his nappy in a knot. Jjust having some fun.
