Hi Joe,

Ditto on the H-335 but I'd start at around 25gr and work up. Also give AA-2015 a try. The bullets I like shooting are the 50gr Blitzkings and the 50gr TNT's. I think it was the TNT's and 2015 powder I used to set the club record at 600yds. I put 4 out of 5 shots into 2" with the fifth shot opening the group up to around 4". I can't do it every time but it sure was nice that one time during the match.

Catch you later,

The Big Dog

Hello Joe,

Pretty fair groups Joe, keep plugging away at it. I also like the Nosler Balistic Tips and use a lot of them in .224 and .243. In your caliber the 50s also are quite accurate. I agree with you about the Savage. I just left their website. They have some new models this year that look interesting.
Best wishes.

Howdy. Workin on a load for 55gr b-ts this was with benchmark at various charges i think at least two of the loads show promise

5 shots @ 100yds.Im amazed Shocked at the accuracy potential of this rifle straight out of the box. All i have done is mount the scope and reload. I don't no what other people expect out of there rifles, but for a ole red neck i'm pretty happy with this savage Very Happy

;-) Glad you like the rifle & scope combination. You will find that it shoots better the more you shoot it. I like the Nosler BT-V's too but try the Hornady V-Max's too. You might find that they shoot better, mabe not, but worth a try.
Mine likes the Midsouth Shooters Supply labled bullets (Hornady #2266 sp w/c). It shoots them about .6" and darn cheap to shoot.

My buddy just dropped off a savage 308 tactical 110fp with a 4.5-14 nikon buckmaster scope he wants me to work up a load for it with the nosler 150gr accubond Very Happy . Nice rifle (pre accutrigger) lookin forward to seein how it shoots.

Glad your having fun with your rifle.
As for reloading for a friend make sure he buys all components and that you don't charge for the service. If you charge him for anything to include the components that makes you an Ammunition Manufacturer which requires a FFL.
You also place yourself in a position of liability if his gun blows up with your rounds damaging his gun and hurting him. A friend, a policeman, got into this fix. He loaded some hot rounds for some other officers. Those officers used the rounds in a shoot out and a citizen was wounded because of over penetration by the hot rounds. Two of the officers guns locked up because of the hot rounds. He does ot load for anyone else anymore. I always recomend that if someone wants custom loads to get them started in reloading for themself.

Crying or Very sad I'm sorry to say that I no longer load for anyone else. I loaded some average loads for a friend years ago for his 30-06. He was out hunting one day and the barrel split on him. My "Friend" took me to court, the only thing that saved me from a Big Problem was my Loading Data. The case that was stuck in the barrel was a Norma case and the loads that I did for him were Remington cases, the barrel split due to ice in the barrel. He did not cover his muzzle in a good old Alaska freezing rain! Anyway all I had to pay for was my lawyer! Thankfully that's as far as that went, but I do have people come over, use my equipment and load their own. My hands don't touch a thing!!!!! Wink
