AT my local trap range I picked up a nickname, 'The Russian', cuz of that ol' Baikal trap gun I got. Jokes abound and lots of friendly crackin' goin' on...so I thought I give them more to chew on and keep the funny's goin'. Grabbed a sharpie and scrawled this on the back of my shell-belt. Laughing

There's a lot of old timers there, some might get a kick out of it, I might get a kick outta them too! Shocked

Stuck this on the grip cap area last year, got it from a Russian surplus place online, it's a hat pin I snipped the stud off and auto-trim tape'd it on there....funny when people do double takes walking by the gun rack between rounds.

I try to make shooting fun, even if it means a giggle at my expence. Best trap range ever- great senes of humor. Esp for a trap range, I
've been to some where they wont even squad with outsiders.

5-5-5-3-3 today....choked at the last two pins. Nyet! Not bad for a year off. I'll take it!

I complain alot about Commiefornia....and there's plenty of stuff to complain about here....but it's mostly offset by two premier ranges, the trap range just down the street smack in the middle of Commie-town where they still have live pullers and my rifle range. Hard to beleive they are still there and the libertards aint put up frozen yogurt or medical mary-jane stands on them. I'm pretty blessed to have these two sanity restorers.

Rifle range: sells out on weekends, I go on a weekday only.

Trap range- open Sunday's only. Get's busy soemtimes but I can usually get in two rounds. Upland opens this coming weekend so it was PACKED. I guess some fellers think waiting all year then hitting a trap range the week before knocks off all the rust. Dang good bunch of gents and old farts...I mean OLD guy's shootin' there...some are sittin' on stools. Way cool. Place has been there since the 50's I hear. What a great lil piece of Americana that's has to be hanging on by it's fingernails. Two traps, a small clubhouse, coffee, cake, cribbage, fireplace....old school. I really love this place and never take it for granted. I sometimes linger there and just relax on the bench taking it all in listening to old timers telling war stories, good gys too the whole Russian thing is well taken and ribbed about. It's gotta be the only wood-n-stone buildings left in 30 square miles of Starbuck's and Froofroo stores...it just has that "feel".
