Check out the size of the tusks on this critter...reckon he would be able to do some terrible damage with them given a chance.
Conroe is a suburb on the north side of Houston and near The Woodlands.
Bigger in Texas: just off I-45 near Conroe.
Cute little Texas pig ...That was killed in the town of Cut-N-Shoot, TX. We call them Piney Wood Rooters.
There was a documentary on about a month ago about these things growing up so rapidly in the U.S. They're all over Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, Florida, and other states. You ever wonder what happens to those people that just leave home and disappear but their car is found out on a dirt road? Between bigfoot and these monsters, I think we know!
This was killed by a Medical Radiology worker. What would you do if this beast was coming at you? Run for dear life? Climb a tree? Or simply get run over?
Over 1,800 lb. wild boar shot and killed in Conroe, Texas near the County Airport, East of I-45 and near the community of Cut-N-Shoot.
Yep ... only in Texas! We were taught to stand still because their eyesight is poor. By standing still they probably would not see you and walk right on by. And NO, you can't out run them! Look at how tall the grass and weeds are. How fast do you think you would be running thru that?
Cheers, Vince

I've seen these pictures before, this pig was shot in Turkey back in 2005. Here's the LINK.

It looks like "forced perspective" photography to me. I wonder how big the pig really was? It still looks like a pretty decent trophy!

Aah...Good. You guys figured it out. No one standing in front of the pig, but everyone standing in back (far back) of the pig. Fake!!

Ive seen wild pigs over 200lb and they are huge, not as big as the pink ones in the farmers pens but huge in size all the same. Its great to see you technicaly minded felas can spot a fake so easily.
If you get boar tusks entered in a compatition there are ways to tell if wild or domestic, from memory the domestic jaw is much thicker in the base than a comparable wild pig.

These "Hogzilla" hoaxes sure do stir the imagination. Hmmmm, I can picture him with an apple in his mouth, and a bunch of hot coals underneath......

There are some cases of freakishly large pigs being found of the wild, but most of these started life in a pen then escaped, or are close descendants of escaped farm pigs.

I've seen some freakishly large pigs at local restaurants... But I guess that is really another topic!
