Geland..., shovel? Don't you have minkfarms overthere? Most of them also have a good meatmill, that way they are still benificial and they surely don't return nor teach others to folow their steps... Smile

Happens to the best of us Vince, I can relate to that story as about 25 years ago my youngest brother in his haste to make good time to drive 300 miles to our cabin for deer hunting somehow manged to remember everything but his rifle. When he arrived about 6 or 7 hours later at the cabin, we helped him to unload and thats when my dad asked him what he planed on using to shoot deer with. The look on his face was priceless and a quick phone call home confirmed the rifle was still sitting on the kitchen table. Laughing

Good thing we bought up extra rifles.

That's not only in the land of Oz. There are more governments that don't trust their citizens... lucky we are still allowed to bring everything together when you want to shoot... even during transport they are allowed to be together but still in a locked case or gunbag. Maybe one day they'll understand that such a bag is easier cut open than unlocked... so who are they annoying?

Now I wonder what would happen if these idiots making up these asinine laws had their house broken into during the middle of the night and threatened their family. I can bet you they would change the laws real quick.

If the crook had a gun they would just try harder to ban guns, if the burgler used a knife they would try to ban the use of knives.

I don't know why liberals can't see that it is the act that is wrong and not the tools used during the act.

I believe its well past time someone commited mass murder with a golf club.
just picture the big hurrah when the golfers of this world (polititionsand businessmen included) had to sit for a ten yearly licence. Sad

have a cabinet locked to store there driver,wedge and putters
another locked place for there tees
and a 3rd for their balls. Yuck

those with a certian type/weight of driver would have to have thier cabinet alarmed and have a steel case to transport thier LEATHAL WEAPONS to and from the government approved golf course.

I guess you would still need a shovel (or some sort of excavating tool) to access the bottom of the compost pile?

Maybe best if I get a boat instead.. after all our land is girt by sea..

Slim...depends n each individual State what the storage requirements are. They vary from firearms locked away with the bolts removed and ammunition stored separately to firearms, bolts, ammunition all locked in separate containers.

Also in some states you are required to have a lockable container secured to the body of the vehicle for transport of your firearm to the range or place of hunting.

Yes the police don't condone shooting others but there are some parts of the Crimes Act 1961 which can in certain circumstances justify the use of force to protect yourself or another from death or GBH.

As a cop I have to know them but Section 48 is a beaut, unfortunately it is countered by Section 62 which states if you use any excess use of force you can become criminally responsible.

Weapons of opportunity are also a good option and if you were at home and the first thing you saw was the kids baseball bat and you used it in the correct set of circumstances you woukld probably be OK

It all comes down to time place circumstance and perception
