I was in a gun shop and spotted a very nice original Winchester 69 .22 l.r. bolt action sitting in the used gun rack. The stock and bore are mint, but the barrel needs to be reblued. The gun shop staff and I haggled a bit and I brought the rifle home. I have already called my gunsmith and will drop it off this week. Once it is reblued, i will post pictures. All the best...

Gil,
Good catch. I rarely see Winchester 69 or 69A (with the aperture sight) rifles on the used gun racks and when I do the condition tends to be bad and the prices are very high. Good luck or refurbishing your rifle. Take care...

My father have Winchester 69A and this was his first owned one. He told me that he paid $50 for it. When I was a kid I used to carry that gun with me every day while I roamed the woods.
