Why is it that when I reply to a PM my reply ends up sitting in my outbox? Confused

Not sure if I am totally correct here wiersy....but I think that when you repy to a PM your repy goes into your OUT BOX, but if you send a PM then it goes into your SENT BOX.

The reason I think things are stored in your OUT BOX is so that you have a copy/record of your reply.

Cheers, Vince

I think, but am not sure, that the email stays in your out box until the other guy opens it. Then it moves to the sent box. I've noticed something like that on here before.

Pumpkinslinger has it. And one other thing about setting in your "outbox".
As long as it's there you can go back an edit it. As soon as the recipient opens it it goes to the "sentbox" and it's gone as far as you are concerned...

Yup they are right goes to the outbox till the other person reads it so you know if they are avoiding answering you or not. Laughing

Actually no, but looking into my Outbox its all members that have disappeared from the site (10Ring and Spacedone), some new members that never stuck around, plus Cal who passed away. Sad

But I have not deleted the PM's.

Boy do I feel like a dumb a*!. I sat there for an hour trying to get that email through. I never noticed them sitting in there before. I am technologically handicapped.

Explains why you wanted to figure out how to get the private message to send then. Smile

I hate it when a piece of electronics beats me. Once in a while I'd like to treat it like an etch-a sketch.
