I would like to find what the twist rate is on a Ruger M 77 22-250 ultra lite that I am interested in purchasing.The seller doesn`t know and I was wondering if I could get some help from any of you out there.Thank

Thanks for the info shrpshter.I have e-mailed ruger several times last week with the serial number with no response .been lurking here for a while so I thought I would ask here .great site

Welcome to Hunting Nut !!! Howdy

The Ruger website list their 22-250's with a 1-14 twist.

If you want to be sure of that and have acess to the gun, you can run a cleaning rod down the barrel with a snug fitting patch and measure how far the rod goes to make a full revolution.

I didn`t know you could measure the twist doing it that way.Thank for that bit of info .Its a good way to check some of my other rifles.
