Dallan,
I hate to hear of your accident. I certainly hope you're doing better since your last report. It may take time for the soreness to go away and everything to heal, but it will. Like said before... Take it easy and don't over do it.
Prayers and best wishers sent... for a speedy and full recovery.
Chet

I am an atheist so my prayer wont worth the breath it took..
But, I wish for your speedy recovery.
Take easy with the ol' back mate, until there are spare parts available, you got to take care of the original one.

Well Dallan...your back should be pretty much healed by now, so here's another little game you can have a go at playing on your snowmobile....
Snowmobiling???

That looks like a broken neck waiting to happen! Of course I'll get on a crazy horse that will try to crush every bone in my body.

Heh I've seen that before. Its called "Water skipping" and the big ole powerful sleds can easily run across water. An interesting fact about this specific video... notice it starts off with 3 sleds... but by the end of the video there is only 2. The Polaris 800 melted its engine after a couple of runs and sunk
Running sleds wide open for longer periods of time is really hard on them. You want to vary the throttle and rpms.

Thay had snowmobiles on a episode of pinks that I watched running them down the drag strip. They were FAST I don't remember the times but they were tearing the 1/4 mile up.

I hate to be the one to say (been there done that) I did my on a ATV that flipped back on me going up a hill I knew not to try. Spent a week in the hospital and had to wear a back brace for 3 months. I remember the pain boy I would not want to go through that again!

Pound for pound, a modern stock snowmobile motor puts out about the same HP as a NASCAR engine, right off the dealer floor. Then you start modding them up, you can get some serious hp increases.
A nascar weights what, 3500lbs and puts out 1200 hp? Thats .34 hp per lb. A modded Yamaha Apex snowmobile with an aftermarket turbo weights around 600lbs and puts out over 300 hp, for .5 hp per lb! Thats insane power to weight ratio!
I love sleds, soooo much fun and man are they super powerful and so fun to ride... nothing out there like'em

If you have a look at UTube Joe they show sleds Drag Racing. They also show sleds doing insane speeds...192..don't know if that is MPH or KPH, but either way that's insane speed. 192 KPH is about 120 MPH.
They had sleds on there that were putting out massive HP too...750+ HP.
The real scary looking stuff though was the sports motorcycles on the ice !!!! Now that was crazy.
I spent about 2 hours looking at all of the sledding videos in UTube yesterday...simply awesome.
I'll throw a couple of links up into Spam O Rama which is really where they belong.
