OUCH!!!! That hurts

Well I was doing really good at work today..Already have 40hrs charged out..Then it happened..Was taking off an oil filter and turned to my left(using the right arm) to pull the filter down and it happened...Something gave and my right shoulder was parylized, I had to use my left hand to lower my arm then all the nerves said it's HURT YA time.. No work for me for the next few days, and worste of all no range time....Pleas tell my I'm not the only one that's done this ...Dave

Happens to me before, found out that the problem is not on the shoulder but on the spine.
Pinch a nerve when twisting and its the nerve that receive pain signals from the right shoulder.
Gone to Physiotherapist, he crack my backbone and the pain disappeared .. just like that Shocked

Hope thats what you get rather than something more serious.

Vist either a Physiotherapist or a Chiropractor for some tweekin' mate...should have you back to new in no time.

Well,I "feel" better so I think I'll go to work today.It's probably a bad call, but The folks that know me, know I'm not a quitter when it comes to pulling my share of the load. Thanks for the well wishing. Will keep ya posted if surgery is required...It's off to work...Dave

I've pinched a nerve before and it feels just like that. If it's in your spine, it will hurt for a long time if you don't get it back in alignment.

If it’s a torn rotator cuff in your shoulder, the only thing that can cure that is surgery. I've got a tear in my rotator cuff in my right shoulder and I refuse to do the surgery thing, so I just suffer with it. I still have lifting power, but my range of movement is limited to below the shoulder. If I extend my reach above that, I feel a sharp pain and it will get numb. Good luck with it.

Fireball, I hurt my back at work a few years back, "felt better" the next day so I went on to work. Then I spent about 2 weeks in bed before I could move around again. Take it easy there!

Ahh my daddy's saga of injuries. Did something like that 7 years ago too. We got him to the doc after some whining. He starts physcialtheropy in a few days. Very Happy

All they done was say lift your arm,does it hurt? took xrays ,nothin broken.Help,coulda told em that. it's the tendons. Have to do theropy first ,if not better, then we get to take an MRI. why not just do it first!!.Naw Ca workers comp do things their way , not the right way. meantime I can still work and rip the shoulder worse. Sorry just my ranting...Dave
