|
If you are like me then the alphabetical designation of the generations don't mean a thing. Well, below is a guide to who and what they designate:
- The Silent generation, people born before 1945.
- The Baby Boomers, people born between 1945 and 1961.
- Generation X, people born between 1962 and 1976.
- Generation Y, people born between 1977 and 1989.
Why do we call the last long generation Y. I did not know, but a caricaturist explains it eloquently below...Learned something new!
Cheers, Vince

Uh!!..
if the way they got their name is the same, generation X must be painful !!!
I fall on the Gen X category, but believe me.. they got their name from something else

I'm part of the "silent generation", but I'm not very silent...

Like Bushy, I was a pre-45 kid.
As a group, many of my younger compatriots, that is to say the Boomers, were the most spoiled, self-indulgent, whinning group of people I've ever seeen. The worst thing they did was to have kids themselves so those loser Boomers persist in expanding ripples in society. But they seem to be paying at least a part of the penalty by having to continue to pay for and take care of both their Gen X kids and Gen Y grandkids! Who said there is no justice! I'm not silent, I laff a LOT!

I'm a Y generation kid apparently, but do not have the problem with lose clothing or the ability to dress myself.

Hay I am NOT ONE OF THOSE STUPID KIDS WHO CAN"T FIND A BELT. I stopped my students from doing that by always walking near them and telling them crack kills, I got tired of telling them to pull up their pants.
