I myself I know I would have shot every shot in the revolver and still missed the hog And if I did hit it it wouldnt be a lucky shot it would be a act of God
I sure wish we had hogs up here, sounds like they can be fun to hunt.

We have wild ones running around here but not that big.

Rumour has it that we've got lots of wild boar in the UK too. As a wild species they became extinct but they were here behing fences and bred for market. Then a tree fell down on top of the fence and...
So we've got them in Kent - way down in the south east and up in Scotland too. I've never seen one let alone hunted it. Tried it once in a restaurant and it tasted just like pork. Me thinks they're ripping people off.
Wouldn't mind having a go though...

The wild boar around here in souther USSR of C are Europian farel pigs. A big one can be 250 to 300 lbs, but average around 100 to 150. I went pig hunting for the soul purpose of shooting a 50 pounder for the barbie spit...MMMmmm good...

Interesting! I am from Florida and my group hunts real wild hogs (and we don't call it Boar Hunting!). Friends, we have two wild strains(genes) of hogs, Spanish and Russian. Along the northweat Gulf coast, most are Spanish genes. Along the Oklawaha and St. Johns, most have Russian genes coming form when John Clardy brought them in.
Now........The big boars are shy and retreat with their herd into the big swamps. Most you see on the higher grond are ferals.
If you are going deep after a real tusker, I suggest you consider ammo made for the fellows in a 12 gauge 3" mag with a rifled barrel! You also just run into one of our big gators in there also......keeps things interesting, to say the least!
Don't let my "shy" fool you, if you happen into his herd of sows and stripped pigs........you better have lots of ass in your pants!............Regards, James@Dixie Slugs

hen I was stationed in Turkey we did a lot of Russian boar hunting & did quite well. Here in Arizona I get to hunt javelina, not as big, but fun to hunt anyway. Atleast here I get to use a handgun.
Keep it coming...
