Sniper...if'n that last pic doesn't get you interested enough to stay out till 1am, then I really don't know what will mate. I'd be setting up camp 75 metres away from the feeder I reckon. Laughing Laughing

Thing about it is they are very inconsistant right now. If they were there every night about the same time, I would be there. I am not in any hurry, I will get them when they settle down. Very Happy

Sniper, are you sure they already don't have a look at your hiding first, before entering the feeding spot? I've seen simular in Czech Republic: they came to the feed every night unless someone took place on the high seat, then you only could find their prints arround the hunter's car...
they have little feet, so for them it's easy to have a higher IQ than their shoe size, something not always easy to say about people...

They were coming in like clock work a couple months ago. Several herds as a mater of fact. There are a lot of pecans on the ground this time a year and they preffer that to corn. They were also no the cameras every night. When we hunt we hunt out of a blind and do not open the windows until after dark.
Now they may very well smell us if the wind is right. But not seeing them on the cameras for days and days means they are not coming to the corn. The nights we hunt we have not even seen any cross the area. I think they are also smart enough to know it is deer season and there are lots more people out hunting and in the area, which also makes them cautious and stay clear of the feeding areas. They will be back. This is a very narrow place and the people on either side both hunt. The other place near here I used to hunt was a lot bigger and more secluded and a lot less hunting during deer season.
Once deer season is over, and it is over this weekend , and they eat all the pecans, they will settle down and calm down. Not a problem.

On a side note. I was down in the river bottom a while ago and there is a lot of rooting, so they are busy down there. We have a large round trap, like 30 feet in diameter down there. I have a pig pipe in there and I put corn in it today, but did not set the trap. Once they start going in good, we can set it and know we will have some pork. I hate to mess with the traps though. One year I caught about 70 hogs in three months. Could not find enough people to give them to. Quit trapping and have not trapped since then, been like 8 years or so. I have reconsidered to maybe set this one for a bunch or two as on of the neighbors is wanting some to mix with his deer for sausage. LOL I told him to keep is knives sharp!!!!

The picture quality was not very good that night since it was cold and
very humid. I will link another video below of a video a couple days later
when it dried out and warmed up.

This feeder is only about 70 yards from my blind. Same place as
the boar shot but a different blind.

Having a good week hunting. Went out four nights and got good hogs
on three of the nights. Did not see any on the fourth night, can't imagine why, lol

Here is a picture of a big sow taken the second night hunt.

While we did smoke 3 hogs last night at another ranch, here at my spot we seem to have more turkeys than hogs. LOL

Been getting some neat pictures on game cameras. Thought I would share
another one of a red bird coming in for landing.

I knew crows ate meat but never saw one flying off with a dove. Dove may have been killed and partially eaten by something else.

Crows will eat anything Snipes. They are notorious for killing lambs out here in Australia. I enjoy turning crows into black and red mist with an 80gn .243 boolit doing around 3200 fps.
