My wife and i are expecting a baby in January and we are stuck for a boys name. Anyone have any good suggestions.

Is this your first one?

When we are expecting our children, SWMBO and I agreed on names for girls easily, but we never agree on name for boys.. good thing my children both turn out to be girls..

Kevin - an Old Irish name meaning "kind, gentle, handsome" that became popular in the English-speaking world outside of Ireland in the 20th century.

This is our third. We have had a girls name picked out since my son was born and he is 7. This baby was not planned but we are happy to be having it. We find out what the baby is on the 188th of september.

tlo, are you looking for trouble with your wife? She probably just asked you for your proposal because she wants to be polite and is trying to convince you that the name she likes is just your choise...

I don't know what you should name your new boy but it had better have a decent nick name. Growing up with Paul My class mates always found nick names for me...

and others that were less flattering. A good strong nick name is essential through the young teens.

We are consindering Sawyer, Hunter, Noah, Gavin, Rhett, Elias, among many others but i would also like the name Gunner.

Paul has a good point on the nicknames he is likely to "wear". Kids can be downright cruel, sometimes intentionally, others times not intentionally, so a nickname can be a badge of pride or a curse.

My parents lumbered me with three christian names, "Vincent Charles Joseph", and when coupled with my surname, it is impossible to write my entire name on most forms...just another thought.
