I'm too old and slow to run and I sure am glad my wife knows how to shoot!

I watched the dust fly off that pig when my wife shot, and I mean right down to the last inch, she put that bullet EXACTLY where I said...

A "small single shot thingy"!!!! Hmmmm.... Precise bullet placement counts for a lot and so far, everything that has been shot with that "little" rifle has died and it is responsible for quite a few deaths.... Shocked

Thank you Sir!

I'm one of the few that is glad we have hogs around here...

Best time to kill one though, is in late Fall, after they have filled up on acorns for a month or so. If gives the meat a hint of a sweet taste and it tastes far better than anything you could ever buy out of a store or even a slaughter house for that matter. One killed in the heat of the Summer and eating no telling what.......... Those taste kinda funky. Fall to early Spring though, that is some mighty fine eating....

Don't know how I missed this one. Sorry DS.

Terry did a damn fine job on that huge grunter mate...give her a pat on the back from me. That little rifle is one sweet looking piece of kit, and it obviously shoots as good as it looks. I have always wanted a TC Carbine, and single shot doesn't present any sort if a problem to me. One day.

In the meantime mate, you and Terry enjoy the fruits, or should I say BBQs of your hunt mate, although 500lbs of sausage will take a while to chomp. Laughing

Thank You Vince!

I'm very proud of Terry and the very precise shot she made on this hog...

Terry and I both are quite fond of these little T/C carbine rifles. They are very light, short, compact and very accurate. I think you would really enjoy one...

I'm looking forward to see just how much sausage is gonna come from this 500 lb. hog. I'll let you guys know when it comes time to go pick it up....

My last bore, 200 pounds, made some great jack cheese dinner sausage.

Our meat processors in TX make a dinner sausage with Jack Cheese with bits of Jalapeno chillies. Every time we have folks over for dinner, everyone has one and they eat every last bit. They mix 1/3 domestic pork in with it. Its great with venison and hog. Some times the Jalapeno's are a bit hot for us. We are going to have it made with mild chop chillies this season.

Here is another picture of my wife's hog, taken at a slightly different angle to better show those massive and razor sharp tusks. And yeah, that's my mug in the picture too. At least the camera didn't break!

Thank You Vince!

I have never seen "tusks" this sharp or pointed before. They were literally as sharp as a razor blade. I can see why some guys refer to them as "cutters"....
