Since the fur is a nice gray color and is very smooth I presume that I will get top lot price at the fur auction.

This one was not the one that we had planned on catching but my brother and I caught this one and 11 of his siblings.

The legal season for Canada Lynx was over in four days with only four traps set up for lynx when our limit was reached. We even had to release unharmed 5 of them that we determined were too small.

This one was a keeper:

This one we released:

This one was welcomed and so were 7 of his brothers:

That lynx on top certainly looked fierce.

Whats that mouse thing on the first image?
How much skin can you get out of something that size?

Hello Gelandangan,

This is the first time that I catch a mouse in a marten box. This year we had a very late fall and we had mice all over the place. The mouse is placed back in the marten box to serve as bait.

Here is a marten box with a mink in it:

This is the day's catch of beavers. They are set out to dry before skinning.

We did a bit of small game hunting when a covey of ruffed grouses did dare us by standing still in front of us at about 25m (28Yards). We are allowed five per day and the possession of 15 birds, so we welcomed our visitors that accepted a gift of 15 grouses. This allowed us to hunt some more.

The bunnies had changed to a beautifull white but we did not have any snow so they were too easy a target.

Great pictures! That white hare should have an interesting time surviving till the snow flys. Love the box's used with the Conibears as well, I used them in the past but never thought to use a box with them.

Hello Dallan,

Here is a box set up for marten but with a weasel caught in it. This is a good set up since the dead fur bearer is suspended in the air and is not easily reached by others and eaten away.
