Converted another to the "Good Side"

This may be good or it may be bad. It's my sister-in-law. Hiding

She hated guns and was mostly afraid of them. She has been in house for about 2 weeks now trying to get her life together after a nasty divorce.

Wife bet me that I would NEVER get her on my range shooting. Well...115 .22 rounds and one 9mmX19 ("back to the .22 rifle") later.

The short of it...spent most of the morning going over the various types of handguns and rifles, proper hold and the loading and function of each. Then to my range with a Colt Woodsman, a Winchester M290 [scoped], a Marlin M81 and a Firestar.

Comment when leaving the range..."That was fun".

Her final target at 40 feet with the Marlin.

Well done Bushy...but to be honest, I would have been disappointed to hear that you hadn't at least convinced her to try if nothing else mate.

Time to start reloading and getting in a stock of .22 mate...I reckon she will be back for more.

On one hand I'd like to ask if she is younger than your wife...
but on the other hand I better warn you that with next divorce you'll risk being interrogated why you've learned her to shoot her husband...

And serious? I have about the same experience with my sister-in-law and I know divorce is not something to love, most of the time it goes rather the hard way and I can understand she needs full support. And while putting her mind on something completely different, you're doing lots of good work.
By the way: I didn't teach my sister-in-law to shoot. Here in Belgium divorce and guns are not the best friends, most of the times all guns have to go to a safe shelter till the divorce is completed. Guns could speed up thing a little too much Smile

But I'm responsible that both her sons know their way in using such things when needed...
