Naw...None of those. Just got tired of having to break out my P38 and open a can that her cheap electric can opener won't open. So I got her a CAN OPENER for Christmas.

I haven't got myself anything...have ordered a set of Gauge Mates in 12 - 410, but they haven't arrived yet...they were gonna be my Christmas present to myself.

Got the missus a nice pressie...can't say yet though cause I am not sure if my daughters read The Nut.

Cheers, Vince

Bushy, maybe English Mike is interested too. I heard the story that his "Iron Maiden" is all alone at Christmas... it might open her up a little.

Is it normal that one remembers a "NO" longer than a "YESS" ?

@Vince: you should make one yourself. And remember: choke is also influenced by the diameter of the barrel. Here it's normally measured at about 20 cm from the breech and that number is put on the barrel, while choke comes with * (stars)

Gidday Aloys...I don't believe there is any sort of "choking" with the Gauge Mates...they are actually only a few inches long...but the patterning shows them to be great, shooting and equal if not better pattern than a full length barrel.

Sub Gauge Adapters

I have shot clays with the .410 adapters in the past (my mate has a set) and they bust clays almost as far out as the 12g.

Sorry, in my mind I saw this little thing you put in the muzzle to measure the choke (and I really don't like it). I have such a conical bar where I draw some lines going from cal 16 till call 12 and all different kind of chokes. I've made a longer one for a friend that also fits the smaller calibers. It's easy to compare chokes (and predict it's suitable for steel shot or not).

@Geland: I don't like to tap on a rimfire... I make my flat noses with a file, works great (and much faster than the thing you show)

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and installed a ballistics app. (Temporary until PB available for Androids). Over the holidays I am going to set up a number of photos of my targets with an app that allows me to annotate them for POI when I hit the range again in the spring. I already have all my loads ready to input.

Merry Christmas all and a happy New Year.

Come to think of it I had a wife like that once. I still have the P38 but the wife is gone.

@Aloy
The accurizer is not only to make funky nose, but it also slightly expand the projectile so they fit the barrel much tighter.

Well, I don't dare to put a .22 LR in my inert hammer, so I'm also not so greedy to hammer from the opposit side...
but please give some info when you've tested the thing. I already now that when I flatten the nose of the .22 LR, using a file and this home-made-die, my groups get smaller and crows or rabbits stay put...
