Oh yes we did!! Saltpeter (potasium nitrate) sulphur and charcoal. Add water, mix, lay out in pellets to dry. After drying, break up and glaze by tumbling. We used a water wheel to power the glazing tumbler...

I’m surprised he can remember all this stuff being that old!!!
I’m sure he’ll say something about forgetting more than we will ever learn though!!! Old people are good for that one!!!
