I'm probably just getting old, but I've noticed the 5th column has really being going downhill.
Half the news we get fed over here is just advertizing, the other half is crap;

These 2 are stirling examples of modern bullshite peddled as fact.

Nah...you're not gettin' old Pete...it's just that more "nutbags" have access to the media these days than in the past. We are simply seeing more of the crap making it's way into the news these days.

Cheers, Vince

Plenty of green weed in the forest video, and lots of "ice" at Siberia Very Happy

Did anyone hear about the German adventurer who was alledgedly eaten by canibals in the pacific somewhere. Went through about four different news agencys, and each time the story got changed a little. These "news" mobs must think we are a bunch of idiots. Sad

One thing I have learned over the years Camel, is that journalists, either print media or TV, never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Hear hear!

News got flavored as the reporter wrote them.
Some are prejudices, some have not a clue and some are hopeful.
Either way it is how they interpret it.

My Dad, an architect, used to get interviewed by the media every so often about building projects he was doing for the local school systems. He said that he was almost never correctly quoted. Two of the three times I was interviewed about Civil War reenactments I'd helped organize they didn't come close to reporting what I'd actually said.
